Greensburg, PA -1913

GreensburgPA1913

View of the Kelly & Jones Company Plant, Greensburg, Pa.

Post marked Jeanette, PA.  Jun 9, 1913.   Addressed to Mr. Lee G Weave, 199 S. Main St, Akron, O.

“Just a line to say I am still alive and received card and letter O.K. I will write again soon.  If any news write soon.  As ever yours.  C H Scott 307 Gaskell Ave, Jeanette, Pa.”

This plant closed in 1980 and has since been demolished. It was the largest employer in the Greensburg area at the turn of the century.   C.H. Scott was apparently one of Grandpa Lee’s friends with whom he corresponded.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
