Canal Scene, Belle Isle.  The canals of Belle Isle, Detroit’s foremost pleasure ground, form an animated picture every pleasant summer day.  The city is one of the greatest canoeing towns in the world and the canals and small lakes of Belle Isle offer the canoeist a veritable paradise.

Post marked Buffalo, N.Y., May 2, 1910.  Addressed to Florence Koontz, Columbus, Ohio, W. Broad & Cypress A.

“S. S. Eastern States, Detroit, Mich     Buffalo, NY. 5-2-10   Dear Friend, I did not receive your card until today.  I had left school to go sailing and it was forwarded to me.  I will try and write you a letter tomorrow.  L.W. [Lee Weaver]”
