Though the words are few …

LC_Scan_0014

Though the words be few, the wish is true.  Right Happy Christmas Greetings.  Series 2300.

No post mark [no mailed].  Addressed to Mr. Lemuel Weaver, 94 Tierman Ave., Detroit, Michigan.

“Dear Brother, My wish for you is a Happy and Successful New Year.  I wish we could all be together the 25.  Rose [Roseanah Weaver Fisher] is with me yet she is not well has trouble with her back and so nervous.  Christeen [Christiana Weaver Rinehart Schwartz]”

There is no indication as to when Aunt Teen sent this to Great Grandfather Lemuel Weaver.  Aunt Rose, their sister, was ill for a very long time and outlived Great Grandfather Weaver.   This card is interesting in that it appears that glitter was manually applied to it  by Aunt Teen.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
