William Seward Burroughs II, my potential 9th cousin, twice removed.  The product of a well heeled family (think Burroughs Adding Machines that morphed into Burroughs computers) who went Beat, did drugs, became an artistic individual.  Wrote and painted under the name William Lee.  Anyway, the pedigree presented to our MRCA, PRIVATE MALE (xxxx-xxxx) has me questioning the authenticity of the research.  Above my 6th great grandmother, Dinah Harris (1702-1796), We’re Related shows:  Richard Harris (1668-1750) [her father], Thomas Harris (1641-1711) [father of Richard], and Thomas Harris (1672-xxxx) [father of Thomas].  This leads to PRIVATE MALE.  What is interesting is the elder Thomas Harris was born AFTER his son, the younger Thomas Harris and AFTER his grandson, Richard Harris.   So, cannot buy it.  Just like in my previous life as an IT guy, I could not buy the Burroughs sales pitch because it did not ring true, neither does this one.
