Orchard Lake Academy on Parade -1909

Orchard Lake Academy Cadets on Parade. (Taken on Bank of Orchard Lake)

Post Marked Redford, Sep 3, 1909.  Mr. Lee Weaver, 9 Tireman Ave, Detroit, Mich.

“Dear Cousin, Lee will you be home next week.  If so, Clare [Clare Lavern Wright] and I will be in and stay a day or two.  Our school does not start till a week from Monday.   Mamma [Marietta Lee Wright] has been having a time with her teeth.  Will close.   Mae.[Marian Mae Wright]”

Apparently, school did not start until after Labor Day in Southfield back in 1909.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
