Ann Arbor, Main Street, 1910

Ann Arbor, Mich.  Main Street, Looking South.  HOAG, Publisher.

Post marked Dexter, Mich.  Jan 13, 1910.   Addressed Mr. Lea Weaver, 94 Tireman A, Detroit, Mich.

“Hello old Kid.  Say I am going to write you a letter before many years and have you come up some night. L. E. Reade”

Apparently, in 1910, they sent post cards to let each other know that they might eventually send a letter.  Interesting is that this friend chose to misspell my grandfather’s name, Lee as Lea.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
