Post marked Redford, Mich.  Jun 17, 1910.   Addressed to Mrs. Lemuel [Effie Lee] Weaver, 94 Tyreman Ave, Detroit.

“Dear Eff,  Eva [Eva Murphy Lee, wife of Henry Lee, their cousin] is dead.  Died yesterday about 11 o’clock in the morning.  Funeral Sunday at 11 o’clock at the house and interred at Farmington.   Hope Ma [Esther Jenks Lee] is well and enjoying herself.   We are all well.  Ora [Lee Churches]”

Aunt Ora was quick and to the point.   No mincing of words.  Simply Eva is dead.  Notice the US Capital in 1901.   The post card is actually blue.
