FLT -1911

OddFellows1911

FLT  — This is the logo for the Odd Fellows.  it represents friendship, love, and truth.

Post marked Ypsilanti, Mich.  Jan 5, 1911.  Addressed to Lemuel Weaver, 94 Tireman, Detroit, Mich.

“How does this look to you.”

No signature.   The handwriting looks to be that of Lee Weaver, Lemuel’s son, who was attending Cleary Business College in Ypsilanti at the time.  Great grandfather Lemuel Weaver was a member of the Odd Fellows — I have his pocket watch (a wedding gift from his wife, Effie Lee Weaver) and the Odd Fellow symbol is hanging from the chain.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
