Five Million Lbs of Copper – 1911

Five Million Lbs. of Copper ready for Shipment, Houghton, Mich.  Yellow Front Curio Store.

Post Marked Houghton, Mich. Sep 20, 1911.   Addressed to Mr. Lee Weaver, 90 Tireman Ave. Detroit, Mich.

“I expect to gain a few pounds.   The air is certainly fine and it is very warm for this time of year.  Having one grand time.  F.  [Florence].”

OK, the single F looks like the way Grandma, Florence Koontz Weaver, would initial things.  So, maybe it was her traveling with the unknown Mrs. O.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
