Post marked Redford, Mich. Jul 25, 1913. Addressed to Mrs. Effie L[ee] Weaver, 94 Tireman Ave., Detroit, Michigan.
“July 25 ’13 Dear Aunt, How are you these fine days? O.K. I presume. How is the house coming along? Most done. Minnie Barns [Minerva Jenks Barnes Bolton Hall, Effie’s Aunt and Esther Jenks Lee’s sister] is here. Came yesterday. Got in Detroit 10:30 A.M. We are still picking berries yesterday and have to again today. When you come out will you bring that box? I can get it made bors at Northville. Estelle [Wright]”
Not sure why Aunt Minerva was being referred to by her first married name, unless, Estelle was referring to Erminnie Barnes Westervelt, her daughter. Erminnie became a widow in 1903. The word between “made” and “at” cannot be read clearly.
