Post marked Quebec, P.Q.  Aug 18, 1924.  Addressed to Mr. & Mrs. L[ee] G. Weaver, 4238 Tireman Ave, Detroit, Mich. U.S.A

“Friday     Just left Quebec this morning.  Its a fine trip & not to the end of it yet.  Bess”

Not sure who Bess was.  Their next door neighbor when the lived on Steel Ave (they moved there in 1929) was Bess Potes.  Anyway, the address reflects the house renumbering that went on in Detroit.  Grandma and Grandpa (and, at this time, both daughters, Leila and Jmae) were living at the same address as Lemuel and Effie.   The house was a duplex.   The elder Weavers occupied the lower level, the younger (Lee and his family) the upper level).

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
