Pikes Peak & Auto Highway – 1937

pikespeakfromair1937

574   Pikes Peak and the auto highway from aeroplane.   Colorado Springs, Colo.   5671-29.  The Auto Road circles and loops its way up the bold and craggy east face of Pikes Peak in a most spectacular fashion climbing over 8000 feet in the space of comparatively few miles.  Sanborn Souvenir Co., Denver, Colo.

No post mark.  No address.

Another unused card from the Weaver 1937 trip to the West Coast.  Grandma and Grandpa would buy post cards of places they had seen since the photographs were better than what they could take themselves.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
