A Merry Christmas.  December 25 Christmas Day. Printed in Germany.

“Mr. Lee Weaver,  Dear Nephew, I am thinking of you today because it is Christmas and I wish you happiness, and tomorrow because it will be the day after Christmas, I shall wish you happiness, and so on clear through the year.  I may not be able to tell about it every day because I may be far away; or because both of us may maybe very busy – but it makes no difference, the thought and the wish will be here just the same.  Whatever pay or success comes to you will make me glad.  Without pretense and in plain words good will to you is what I mean.  In the spirit of Christmas.  From Aunt Christeen Rinehart.  {Christiana Weaver Rinehart, sister of Lee’s father, Lemuel Weaver].  Here is your Christmas donation.  ha ha.”

This card is probably from around 1912.  Aunt Teen married Uncle Charlie [Charles Schwartz] on April 16, 1913, so the use of the Rinehart last name means this card predates that marriage.  Grandpa Lee would have just gotten out of Cleary Business College and would be heading off as a 19 year old on his first job which would align with Aunt Teen’s comments. Grandpa was working in Akron, Ohio in early 1913.
