A Very Merry Christmas.  I will wish you the wish of long ago – A Merry Merry Christmas.   C-267.  Made in U.S.A.

Post marked Columbus, Ohio  Dec 20, 1919.  Addressed to Miss Lela [Leila] Marie Weaver, 92 Tireman Ave., Detroit, Mich.

“From Uncle Heinie [Henry Allen Koontz]”

Uncle Heinie was a man of few words!  In 1919, he was 19 years old and a student at Ohio State University.  The post card was for his sister, Florence’s daughter, Leila, who had been born the prior October.  So, this would have been her first Christmas.

Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
