A Happy Christmas

xmas0005

A Happy Christmas.  Series 7002.  Printed in Germany.

Post marked Redford, Mich.  Dec 24 [year cannot be read].  Addressed to Mr.Lee G. Weaver, 94 Tireman, Detroit, Michigan.

“We wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, too.  Doesn’t look as tho’ we would have a green Xmas.   Estelle [Wright]”

The year did not print on the post mark, but the handwriting on the card appears to be of a younger person than wrote the card posted yesterday (also written by Estelle).  I would guess this one was from 1911.  Apparently, there was snow on the ground.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
