A Happy New Year (1910 Calendar).  A-215.

Post marked Columbus, Ohio, Dec. 30, 1909.  Addressed to Mr. Lee Weaver, #94 Tireman Ave. Detroit, Michigan

“Dear Nephew, Many thanks for the nice Gold Brick.  It is fine.  Mary Ethel was here.  I said it was a gold brick.  Mary said it was Lard.  Miss Park said Buck Wheat flower [sic.].  So when I opened it, it was gold.  Rose [Roseanah Weaver Fisher] says thanks for her kerchief.  Hope you will all be well and has a prosperous year.  Love to all yours.  Christeen. [Christiana Weaver Rinehart]”

Not sure what “gold” Grandpa sent Aunt Teen.  Aunt Rose and Aunt Teen were both sisters of Great Grandpa Lemuel Weaver.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
