Sunshine or Rain in Columbus … 1920

Sunshine or rain in Columbus, I love you the same.

Post marked Columbus, Ohio.  Jul 25, 1920.  Addressed to Mrs. L. G. [Lee G / Florence Koontz], 92 Tireman Av, Detroit, Mich.

“Received your card and hope you got home all OK.  Was up with circus day but did not see the parade.  I am all rite.  Felt bad about 3 days but rode the goat just the same.  It was just fine.  Love, Mother. [Phebie Ann Gardner Koontz]”

Other than having a post card written by my great grandmother, this probably had meaning between her and Grandma, but I have not got a clue.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
