An Easter Greeting – 1914

Easter1914

An Easter Greeting.  Sing. World of mine, and let the wondrous music of  thy voice fill all the world with light, sing and rejoice for in thy risen Lord love hath dispelled the thought of night.    Printed in Germany.

Post marked Redford, Mich.  Apr 10, 1914.  Addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Lemuel [and Effie Lee] Weaver, 92 Tireman Ave., Detroit, Michigan.

“Hoping this finds you on the gain, and when you get well enough come out here.  Wish it was warm enough so I could come in, am anxious to see Aunt Rose [Roseanah Weaver Fisher].  Best Easter Wishes for all.  Grandma Lee [Esther Jenks Lee]”

This post card was written by my Great Great Grandmother to my Great Grandparents – Effie was Esther’s daughter.   Aunt Rose was Great Grandpa Weaver’s sister.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
