Happy Easter – 1912

Easter1912

Happy Easter. S 317.  Made in U.S.A.

Post marked Santoy, Ohio.  April 4, 1912.  Addressed to Mrs. Effie [Lee] Weaver, Detroit, 94 Tireman Ave. Mich.

“Corning, O 4/4/12    Dear Aunt and all as I have not heard from you people for so long would like to know how you are getting along.  I hope you are all well.  We have been under the weather here with colds but are better now and have been trying to clean house.  Hope to hear from you soon.  Your niece, Ellora Weaver.”

Ellora was the daughter of Lemuel’s (Effie’s husband) brother, Charles Louis Weaver and a frequent house guest in the house on Tireman.   Cousin Ellora’s method of addressing the post card is quite unique in its sequence.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
