Best Birthday Wishes – 1912

Best Birthday Wishes.  2205.  Printed in Germany.

No post mark (not mailed).  Addressed to Mr. Lee Weaver, 94 Tyreman Ave., Detroit, Mich.

“May 14, 1912.  Dear Cousin, May you see many birthdays.  I wish I had a piece of your cake.  From Ray [Raymond Charles Churches] to Lee”

Ray was the twin brother of Roy.  Both were 10 ½ years old at this time.  These are part of the packet of card referenced by Aunt Myra [Hannah Almira Lee Churches] as being addressed by the boys and needing to be put in an envelope to send.   Ray was the first of the well wishers for Grandpa’s 19th birthday that got down to basics and wanted some cake!

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
