Happy Days – 1912

Birthday0026

If these words could but convey, all my heart desires to day, you would know with all my might, that I wish your birthday bright.  Happy Days.  Series No. 2296.   Printed in Germany.

No post mark [not mailed] No addressee.

“From Grandma [Esther Jenks Lee] to Lee [Weaver] on his 19 birthday.”

OK, on the surface, this looks like the same post card that I posted yesterday.  And it is identical.  Uncle Willy [Lewellyn Lee] lived with his parents [Charles Norton Lee and Esther Jenks Lee] his entire life, so he and his mother, Great Great Grandmother Lee must have had the same supply of birthday cards.    But, how great is it to have a post card written by my Great Great Grandmother?

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
