Asa Gray – Botanist Extraordinary – 6C5R

AsaGray

Asa Gray, 6th cousin, 5 times removed, was one of the most noted botanists of the 19th century.  The pedigree chart provided by We’re Related is clean — No PRIVATE place holders — on  both lineages.  Mine progresses to my 6th great grandfather, John Munn (1712-1785), and then four more generations to our MRCA, William Parsons (1570-1653).  That makes another TO DO item of 4 generations that I will need to investigate to be able to include Asa as a cousin.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
