Abner Doubleday – part 2

AbnerDoubleday

Abner Doubleday appears in notification # 358 as my 7th cousin, 4 times removed, through our MRCA, Richard John Strong (1585-1613), the great grandfather of Lydia Dean (1679-1726), my 7th great grandmother and the furthest documented ancestor I have in that line.  This is the second time I received a notice from We’re Related about Cousin Abner.  The first notice, # 135, we are a bit closer; we are 7th cousins, 3 times removed.  Our MRCA is Elizabeth Charde (1589-1643), the grandmother of Isaac Lawrence, my 7th great grandfather, and the furthest documented in that line.  In cousin Abner’s lineages, the meeting occurs at his fourth great grandparents: # 358 – William Clark (1656-1725) and #135 – Hannah Strong (1659-1694).   Elizabeth Charde is also the MRCA for Elizabeth Montgomery and her father, Robert Montgomery, Margaret Hamilton, Wilbur and Orville Wright, and Nathan Hale.  This is the first time Richard John Strong has appeared as a MRCA.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
