Follow up on Grandpa Gardner

It appears Grandpa Gardner gave himself a belated birthday present in 1904.  On 11 March 1904, his divorce from his third wife, Mary McConnell was final.  They married on 26 March 1890 in Ligonier, Indiana, and it was apparently not a happy union.   Grandpa went on to marry wife #4, Jennie Boyd,  about a year later on 12 April 1905.

Grandpa’s first two wives, including my great great grandmother, Mary Ann Cummings, died while still wed.  Wife #4 outlived Grandpa and collected his Civil War Pension until her death in 1921.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
