Carnegie Library, Columbus, Ohio.  Competition Proof -Weixelbaum, Lima, Ohio

Post Marked, Mount Clemens, Mich. May 23, 1910.   Addressed to Mrs. Lemuel Weaver [Effie Lee Weaver], 94 Tireman Ave. Detroit, Mich.

“Monday May 23rd.   Dear Aunt, Just received your letter this minute and will answer it by card.  I can come in on that car.  Now you meet me please.  Hope you get this card.  Ellora [Ellora Weaver, daughter of Charles Louis and Anna Knaish Weaver, Charles was the brother of Lemuel Weaver].    I am no worse but better than I was [written along the edges of the message area of the card]”

Apparently, Ellora brought a supply of post cards with her from Ohio.   Possibly, Ellora was in Mount Clemens for health reasons.  The mineral baths were quite famous.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
