Shoot the Chutes and Whirl Wind at Olentangy Park, Columbus, Ohio – Competition Proof Weixelbaum, Lima, Ohio

Post Marked San Toy, Ohio, May 30, 1910.  Addressed to Mrs Effie [Lee] Weaver, 94 Tireman Ave., Detroit, Mich.

“Monday morning.  Dear Aunt and All,  Got home Sunday.  Went out to see Aunt Rose [Roseanah Weaver Fisher] Sat.  She is not feeling very well.  I was tired when I reached Columbus and feel tired this morning hope all are well as all the rest of the folks are well here did your sisters come Sat would I liked to met them but wanted to get home to rest hope to hear from you soon.   Your niece Ellora [Weaver]”

No, I did not skip any of cousin Ellora’s punctuation.   This card was even written in ink so it is just not hard to see because it was written in pencil as so many of the cards.   It appears Ellora has a stream of consciousness that just flows.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
