Post marked Redford, Mich. Aug 22, 1910. Addressed to Mrs. Effie L[ee] Weaver, 94 Tireman Ave., Detroit, Michigan
“Redford, Mich. 8-22-10 Aunt Effie: Do you want company for a few days? If you do not want me to come let me know by Wednesday night. If I do not hear from you I will be in to your place sometime Thursday. Grandma [Esther Jenks Lee] and Mamma [Marietta Lee Wright] and Killie Shelley have gone to Aunt Ora’s [Ora Lee Churches] today. From Stella [Estelle Wright]. PS If you have to come out here for butter or eggs this week let me know.”
Not sure who Killie Shelley was, but apparently, Stella was feeling left behind and decided it was a good idea to go into the city and visit her aunt. Also, it sounds like great Grandma Effie used to get fresh butter and eggs from the farm in Southfield.
