No description. Just a pasture with cows in the stream.
Post marked Redford, Mich. Jun 14, 1912. Addressed to Mr. Lee G. Weaver, 94 Tireman Ave., Detroit, Michigan.
“Dear Cousin, Well a little more news this morning. Maggie our horse got down yesterday and couldn’t get up so Papa [Stephen A. D. Wright] went down to help her. He got her partly up and she fell down again and on his ankle. Dr didn’t know for sure if it was broken or just cracked. Either way it is bad enough for he isn’t able to walk. Mamma [Marietta Lee Wright] says he will have to do the darning and she put on the overalls and go to work in the field. Uncle Lem [Lemuel Weaver] about the same. All the rest are well. Pick berries again today. $3.50 case yesterday. Estelle W. [Estelle Wright].”
Estelle must have been asking about Uncle Lem since he is Lee’s father and living at the Tireman address. As well as asking if Lee and his mother, Effie Lee Weaver are well.
No added information on the outcome with Maggie.
