The Chippewa River – 1912

The Chippewa River, Mt. Pleasant, Mich.  J. Geo. Zwergel & Son, Pub.

Post marked Birmingham, Mich.  Jul 6, 1912.  Addressed to Mr. Lee Weaver, 94 Tireman Ave, Detroit, Mich.

“Received your letter all O.K. will write as soon as I can.  don’t wait for me to write but write when you have time.  Irene [Jenks]”

OK – not sure what was happening here.  Irene and Grandpa Lee were corresponding in 1912 and were each other’s confidant.   Letter versus post card is a good clue that something was up.  Other post cards talk about Grandpa’s intentions toward Florence (both Florence O and Florence K – the later he would marry in 1918).

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
