Rust Park, Saginaw, Mich. 1912

Boating in Rust Park, Saginaw, Mich.  Pub. by Bennett News Co., Saginaw, Mich.

Post marked Saginaw West Side, Mich.  Aug 12, 1912.   Addressed to Mrs. Effie [Lee] Weaver, 94 Tireman Ave., Detroit, Mich.

“8-11-12  Dear Mother:  Expect me home Sometime Wednesday.  Found the people all well.  Aunt Avis [ Avis Lee Rice, sister of Charles Lee, Effie’s father] knew me at once.  Lee [Weaver]”

So, Grandpa made it up to Saginaw!  It is interesting that there is such a distinction for the West Side of Saginaw.

Aunt Avis lived until late 1913.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
