Christmas Happiness be Yours – 1910

Christmas1910.jpg

Christmas Happiness Be Yours.  P.C. 224.

Post marked Dove, Ohio, date too faint to read.  Addressed to Mr. Lee Weaver, 94 Tireman Ave, Detroit, Mich.

“Dove, Ohio.  Dec 19, 1910.  Dear Cousin, I received your card was glad you did not get spanked and got home all right in for Christmas dinners. This leaves we all well here .  Hope it will find you the same.  I am going up to Corning for Christmas.  Sarah Weaver.”

Sarah Weaver was the daughter of Grandpa Lee’s father, Lemuel’s brother, William Powell Weaver.  I am not sure which of the siblings of Lemuel living in Corning.  Not sure why Grandpa would have been spanked at the age of 17.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
