A Merry Christmas – 1909

christmas1909_2

A Merry Christmas.  30E.  Printed in Germany [yes, that is glitter all around the card]

No post mark.  [no stamp] Addressed to Mrs. Effie [Lee] Weaver, 94 Tireman Ave., Detroit, Mich.

“12-23-09  Columbus, Ohio.  Dear Sister, I though [sic.] I would sind [sic.] you a little rememberance [sic.].  Hope this will find you well and happy.  Many Returns.  Christeen [Christiana Weaver Rinehart, Effie’s sister in law]”

Not sure if the care was created in Germany with the glitter or if it was added later.  It was not mailed, but it did arrive in the home of Lemuel and Effie Weaver.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
