A Merry Christmas – 1909

xmas0011

A Merry Christmas.  A219.

No post mark.  [not mailed]  Addressed to Mr. Lee Weaver, Detroit, Michigan

“12-23-09    Hellow Bad Boy,  What are you doing.  It is cold here.  Remember one and Grandma and all that inquires after one.  Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year to all.  Auntie R___ [Roseanah Weaver Fisher]”    [Then written across the top of the card] “This $1.00 is for you”

OK, Aunt Rose didn’t always make a lot of sense. Apparently, she was upset at Grandpa Lee in 1909 over some infraction.  But, she did sent him a dollar (at least she did if the card and the dollar were sent in an evelope)

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
