Sincere Greeting – 1912

Birthday0020

Sincere Greetings.  1830. Printed in Germany.

No post mark [not mailed].   Addressed to Mr. Lee Weaver, 94 Tyreman Ave., Detroit, Mich.

“May 14, 1912  May you see many more birthdays.  The boys [Roy and Ray Churches] were bound they would write the address so we had to put them all in an envelope.  Please excuse us.  Myra [Hannah Almira Lee Churches]”

Aunt Myra was Granpa Lee’s mother’s sister.  Roy and Ray were the 11 ½ year old twin sons of Myra and cousins of Grandpa’s.  This explains how the cards arrived with no postage.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
