With best wishes … – 1908

Birthday0027

With best wishes for a happy birthday.

Post marked Columbus, Ohio. May 13, 1908.  Addressed to Mr. Lee Weaver, Tireman Ave. Corner of Scotten Ave., Detroit, Michigan

“5-13-08     Dear Boy, We are all well.  Charl. F. [Charles Elmer Fisher] is at Hospital in Buffalo.  Nettie is here not working, is not able to.  I wish you many returns of the day.  Mrs. D. L. R. [David L. Rinehart]”

Aunt Teen [Christiana Weaver Rinehart] is being very formal here, signing as Mrs. D. L. R.  – not sure why she is doing so.  Uncle David passed away in 1907.  Charles Fisher was the son of Aunt Rose [Roseanah Weaver Fisher} I am not sure who Aunt Teen is referring to as Nettie.  Aunt Teen and Aunt Rose were Great Grandfather Lemuel Weaver’s sisters. It was a birthday card with a lot of bad news for my grandfather’s 16th birthday.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
