It isn’t that I am not happy about the We’re Related re-boot, but the game of catch up that is now under way is leaving me with scant material.  I just got notice that Janis Joplin was my 9th cousin — genetic support for the need to drink Southern Comfort! — and the quoted MRCA was different than what was reported prior!!!  Upon investigation, it seems this round, We’re Related decided to report the female side of the MRCA where the last time it was the male.  So, now I have the proposed 7th great grandparents of Mary Jane Wilkerson (1685-1758) and Nicholas Corbin (1650-1697).  Being the glass is neither half full or empty, it just needs to be re-sized kind of guy, I am taking this as added information to help in nailing down this connection.  Since I now have the marriage defined, it should be less of an ordeal to verify the children, etc.
