Notice # 418 says Annie Oakley (aka Phoebe Ann Mosey) is my 7th cousin, 3 times removed, through our MRCA, Mary Newhall (1637-1694), the proposed 4 times great grandmother of my brick wall 3 times great grandfather, Abner Cummings (1802-1848).

Luckily, Notice # 182 arrived a number of months ago and showed Phoebe as my 7th cousin, 4 times removed, through our MRCA, John Moses (1604-1696), the proposed grandfather of John Lee (1657-1711), my 8 times great grandfather.    Cousin Phoebe’s lineage gets questionable at  grandfather, William Moses, to her father, Jacob Mosey, surname change.

It is also at the grandparent level that Annie got her gun and merged the two, # 418 has her grandmother, Mary Carl (1788-1850) lineage; # 182 has her grandfather William Moses (1775-1838) lineage.  Both being the parents of Jacob Mosey (1799-1866), her father.  Again, a lot more research if I want to claim this Wild West Show star!
