James Thurber – second time a hit!

JamesThurber

James Thurber appears as my 8th cousin, once removed in notice # 420 from We’re Related through our MRCA, Esther Ballard (1632-1717), my 8th great grandmother.  This lineage is well documented.  So, it looks like this might actually be a claim to distant fame.

But, way back on notice #296, cousin James was noted as my 8th cousin, twice removed, through our MRCA, Elizabeth Ingraham (1628-1660), the great great grandmother of my 5 times great grandmother, Thankful Isham (1752-1834).  This leaves 4 generations to review and document.

The two cross at Jame’s grandparents: # 420 Sarah Emeline Hull (1842-1906) and #296 Leander Thurber (1832-1867), the parents of James’ father Charles Lincoln Leander Thurber.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
