Samuel Finley Breese Morse is reported as my 3rd cousin, 6 times removed, in notice # 421 from We’re Related.  Our MRCA is supposed to be Mary Rockford (1668-1700), the great great grandmother of Esther Clark, my 4 times great grandmother and the furthest documented ancestor I have in that lineage.  Mary is the mother of Isaac Thayer (1664-1778) and he is the father of Josiah Thayer (1724-1766) and he is the father of Miriam Thayer (1747-1824).  At least in this notice lineage.   In another, Miriam’s father, Josiah (1721-1766) has different dates, but close.  But Josiah’s father Isaac (1695-1763) is way different.  This other lineage was reported in a match to B. F. Skinner.  They cannot both be correct.

Oh, in Sam’s lineage, Mary’s daughter, Patience Thayer is born when Mary was 12 years old.

All in all, this is a very questionable reporting by We’re Related.
