Happy 273rd, Grandfather Munn!

Noah Munn, Sr., my 5 times great grandfather, was born 17 April 1746 in Deerfield, Massachusetts to John and Mary Holton Munn.  Grandfather married Desire Hitchcock on 7 December 1769 in Brimfield, Massachusetts.  The two were the parents of eight:  Moses (1771), Noah, Jr (1772) [my 4 times great grandfather], Aaron (1774), Elgad (1775), Sarah (1782), Clarissa (1787), Chloe (1787), and Asahol (1790).

Seems to have been a long gap in the children’s birth years.  Possibly due to Grandfather’s participation in the Revolutionary War with Great Britain where he served as a Private under General Warren and Captain Agrippa Wells.  As part of the Massachusetts militia, he served with the troops at Bunker Hill.

Grandfather died on 13 May 1821 in Gill, Massachusetts.

I am in the process of preparing my Sons of the American Revolution Supplemental Application with Grandfather as my patriot.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
