Happy 275th Birthday, Grandfather White!

Nathaniel White, Jr., my five times great grandfather, was born on 6 July 1744 in Norton,  Massachusetts, to Nathaniel and Sarah Thrasher White.  Grandfather White lived most of his life in Norton.  He met and married Mehitable Morey, daughter of Thomas and Lydia Hall Morey on 5 August 1762, in Norton.  Their seven children were all born in Norton:  Sally (1765), Cynthia (1767), Nathaniel (1769), Mehitable (1770), Prudence (1772) [my four times great grandmother], Charlotte (1773), Lydia (1778), and Lucy (1779).  Grandfather died on 24 February 1828.

Five year gap between Charlotte and Lydia?  Well, Grandfather was busy.  He was serving as a Sergeant in Captain Silas Cobb’s company, Colonel Timothy Walker’s Regiment of the Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
