Post marked Redford, Mich. Jul 6, 1911. Addressed to Mr. Lee Weaver, 94 Tireman Ave., Detroit, Michigan.
“Dear Cousin: Suppose you had a dandy time the fourth. I do is, picked berries from 7:30 a.m. to 8: p.m. We all went down to Justin’s [Justin Rosenthral Jenks, Lee and Estelle’s cousin, and son of Leman Case Jenks, the older brother of Esther Jenks Lee] and had ice cream. Didn’t have very much. Only 5 gals for 25! All are well. I am going over to pick berries today. Estelle [Wright]”
Not sure if Estelle was complaining about having to spend the day picking berries or bragging about the ice cream feast at Justin’s.
