Did you ever feel like … – 1913

Puzzle1913

Did you ever feel like a picture puzzle shoved off the table.   C.S. 468  Made in U.S.A.

Post marked Columbus, Ohio.  Jul 19, 1913.  Addressed to Mr. Lee Weaver, 119 S. Main St., Akron, Ohio.   [the address is crossed out and then is written: No End St. Detroit, Mich.  P.O. Box 20]

“July 17, 1913     Dear Cousin, Just a couple of lines to let you know we too are still among the living but it is hard telling when we will leave this beautiful earth for some other land.  Kathreene [Weaver]”

Not a very uplifting message!  Kathreene has written on the front of the card, “I have many a time”. Not sure if the address change is permanent.   Will need to see if later mail goes back to Detroit.   I do like that is has No End St. and it got to Grandpa!

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.

What a great blog to put the post cards of you grandfather online! Awhile back I started a blog called
    http://thestephensherwoodletters.blogspot.com
I put many of the letters of my great grandfather online and what an adventure it was. I have gone to other projects and did not finish this yet, but still post other things to the blog. I learned so much about him and what was going on around him. I love family history and genealogy and am involved in it almost everyday. My current blog is following the great grandfather’s 44 day journey. I have a pinterest account, and volunteer one day in a family history center. Good Luck. It will be fun to receive you emails. Regards, Grant
